Rigging the fleet

Rigging the fleet

Everyone has arrived safely and busy rigging.
The departure from Beverley had a few dramas. The key to BMF’s padlock was missing from the maintenance release folder. After trying about 30 keys from the keyboard,, no spare could be found, but after a few frantic phone calls, a certain owner of a self launcher admitted that he’d borrowed the key to fuel up but had forgotten to return it. After flight planning and getting BMF out & DI’ed, departed at 11:37 for YSCR. 1hour 20 mins later BMF touched down on Runway 32. The trailer fleet started drifting over the next couple of hours followed by several hours of frenetic rigging and tying down in a strong NW wind.
The day finished with a delightful meal at the Palace Hotel and most pilots getting an early night.
